In the midst of farmland in an agricultural community, farmland has been given back to nature. The area and nature that was always there is called the Peel.

The area is flooded, causing trees to die. In a few decades the skeletons of the trees will be gone. What remains is a small lake. marshland, bush and swamp-like laces. It's a h(e)aven for numerous birds, frogs, lizards, toads and insects. 

It is new nature, recently created, aimed to restore ancient nature that was there for thousands of years and of which only a very small portion remains.
